Hi there!
I’m Bradley, a dedicated and passionate ASCHP Registered Specialist Wellness Counsellor! (Reg: SWC24/4045).
The call to make a positive and impactful change in the world came at a young age, but developed more so once I began my journey in university studying as a Psychology and Sociology major in my Undergraduate years (which concluded in 2021 at Monash South Africa) and Psychology major in my Honours year, which concluded in 2022 at IIE MSA in Ruimsig, Johannesburg.
I have always found human behaviour fascinating, especially when trying to analyse my own traits and quirks, to which drove my passion in attempting to ascertain why human beings behave the way we do, and what forces – both internally and externally – drive us to exhibit behaviours that can be hindering our true potential. Thus, this call to make this positive change in the world presented itself to me in which I chose to help others navigate their innate human traits and experiences, and to self-actualise beyond our own immediate understanding through the world of counselling. This has humbled me deeply, as I have had the upmost privilege in hearing stories that have never been told – stories that are otherwise unwritten. A clichè if you will, but the pen is mightier than the sword, and I am in awe of the resilience us human beings possess when these untold stories hit my process notes.
Since my counselling journey, I have assisted individuals, couples, groups, adults and minors in the following points of interest in which I specialise in:
Trauma – current and childhood; Loss and Grief, Sports Counselling; Addiction; Abuse and Neglect; Wellness and Mindfulness; Self-Esteem and Self-Worth; Survivors of Sexual Abuse; Feelings around being anxious; Feelings surrounding low mood.
Disclaimer: I am a specialist wellness counsellor that practices within my scope and ethically adheres to the regulations set out by the ASCHP. I do not treat pathology, and I adhere to the referral process when presented with challenges that fall out of my scope of practice.
Let’s walk this journey together. One story at a time.
Yours in Mental Health and Counselling
Brad
